While I have to admit that LL2 was sweet back in the day, one of the big problems I've always had with that pairing is that Lucky only started wanting Liz after she was raped. Before that, no matter what she did to try to get his attention, he was focused on her sister. After she was so traumatized from her rape, she became more of a good girl while with Lucky. The reason why she outgrew her love for him and her attraction to dark men showed is because they bring out her true bad girl self.

Liz was still a teen in 1998. She's a grown woman now and has matured. Nikolas is something of an artist too. He was a photographer. Liz has been attracted to Jason, Zander, and Ric, none of whom have had much of an artistic side. I never said JJ isn't good-looking, he just looks very young. TC is very attractive and Liz's choice was between a boy (Lucky) and a man (Nikolas). Besides, the seed of Liz/Nik started to be planted before TC left in 1999. It just didn't work with the recast.

I disagree.
While TC is hunkier then JJ he's not prettier. TC is bloated and weird now. JJ is still very gorgeous. Plus back in 1998 Liz admitted to the fact that she's attracted to artsy looking guys like Lucky not Nikolas. So the writers messed it up royally to have liz attracted to nik after all this time. It insulted our intelligence and made it strange.

TC is not JJ, and it's a good thing. TC is much hunkier than JJ (and hunkier than the actor playing Nik here). The problem with JJ and bringing him back after ten years is that he still looks like a kid (despite the facial hair), and because he was gone from the role for so long, we missed the years where he and Liz could have grown as characters together. Greg Vaughan, while not as good an actor as JJ, was older and more manly in physique. His Lucky could have taken Nikolas in fight.

The recast did very well, but he wasn't Nik to me. The chemistry just wasn't the same without TC in the role.

@Popfan93 Apparently, lol. Well, maybe it's cuz TC's playing Nik now, and TC is much hotter, she just couldn't help herself ;) :P
