Some dogs don't give birth laying in a bed, mother nature lets them know when to stand a push like taking a dump to help the puppy out, so if you are there "helping"; pull the puppy out as soon as possible, remove the membrane over their nose so they can start breathing as soon as possible and give them to their mother so she can lick the puppy's body and clean them, but most important to establish the mother puppy bond.
This poor puppy died from a very long stay in birth canal asphyxiation.
