@SammyJ21 Nice I'm always down to learn man... Where you based out of? I take my fitness seriously and I always like challenges. I was under the impression you had no experience with KB training. If you are cross training MMA Circuits then you obviously know fitness, because I don't think there is anything as taxing on the body than a 15 minute MMA bout. Dude, send me your info. It won't hurt to talk. I am interested in what you speak!

@TheMichaelJoshua I am a Level 3 Certified Reps Personal Trainer with a whole host of Qualifications beyond that... I have two businesses set up, one with two people working for me and another partnership taking MMA Circuits working REAL elite athletes! I HAVE clearly done this exercise and still the knowledge goes further! You have a session with me twice a week alongside a Nutrition and Meal plan, along with costings, specifically for you by me and in 6 weeks you will unrecognisable!

@SammyJ21 Duuude, you obviously have never tried this, or even kettlebells before. I've been and athlete my entire life, doing, shoulder presses, squats, and crunches. I was strong, but I never looked like I was in good shape. 3 months of doing Kettlebell exercises like the getup, swing, snatch, etc. not only was I stronger than before, I lost the fat off my midsection for the first time. And whne I ever i did getups, I hated them. That's how hard they are. I'm was doing minimum of 10 reps tho.

@SammyJ21 perhaps "a good body" isnt the only goal on street? but, i would also challenge you to find a competent rkb user with a shit body. the purpose of this exercise is atypical in that it won't get you "beach abs" a massive back squat or shoulders to pop out of a fitted T shirt. balance, strength, control - think yoga.

@SammyJ21 You're wrong. This exercise works the entire body and you don't necessarily have to use a 'crappy weight'. I personally do get-ups using 16, 24 and 32kg kettlebells with decreasing reps, such as 5,4,3, consecutively. I reckon it works wonders. Maybe you're not working them hard enough?

What exactly is the purpose of this excercise??? I see no benefits to this! An isometric contraction in the shoulder and if you want to do reps then you have to use a crappy weight... You are better off doing a shoulder press, squat and swiss ball crunches, this will not get you a good body!!!
