usually seeds will go into a hibernation wene they dryout as a self defence. so wat makes this seed so different?

@mark4seed Is it true that these are poisonous to humans as shown in the wikipedia if we search for "Cycas Revoluta" in wikipedia(dot)com and look at the topic " Toxicity" in it? As you are an expert what are the precautions that we should take?. I like the plant very much but I feel I am digging my own graveyard when I think of planting it.

thank you very much for the video ! My Mom has a 10+ yr old female and removed the seeds (about 1 1/2 to 2 inches in diameter) by cutting them off the plant. I've told her that she probably should have waited a few more weeks until they were ready to drop on their own. I'm afraid they are too immature to germinate. Am I right? Thanks again, Jami

@jamifrancis I apologize for getting back so late. The seeds should never ever have to be cut off. They should come off very gently by simply picking them off the plant. Just be careful and wear gloves because of all of the pointy, spiky leaves.
