k, so, When i started riding it was just western once a week in the summer until i did riding camps. I did camps for about 5 years. During that time I rode: trigger, cashes, whisper (the horse in the picture), elf, chaco, kings, and poncho.
Then as a birthday present my mom let me start taking riding lessons.
Charlotte:
the BEST little starting pony I could have ever asked for. I had my first real canter and jump on her. We became like best friends. She would do anything that I asked, I feel that she would have jumped the mooon for me if I had asked her :) .
Ritz:
The BEST PONY IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!
She helped me with everything, from first shows, to first love :) ( I have story that happpened a little while ago)
I lovee this pony soo much that words cant even descried it! I rode her for 3 years. But, sadly, if Im almost too big for her, and my instructors tell me that Im to good for her, that I should move on to a bigger and harder horse. So I started riding this TB, Tobi. But that decision wasnt just an easy over-night decision. I thought about it for over a month before I decided to start riding him over the winter. I still get to see her, and I rode her once over the winter, but Im still not sure if I made the right decision. [This is what happened the other day (and the beginning is just a little explanation)]
Ok so when jumps are in the same place for a long time they get a hole/pit on each side, so my instructor re-positioned a couple jumps in our outdoor arena and raked both sides to even them out. This beginnerish girl was riding Ritz and Ritz pulled a full on skidding stop to one of the fences that had just bee moved and the girl fell off pretty much right over her head. (shes okay though). Anyways so my instructor asked me to get on Ritz and canter back and forth over it and a couple other jumps. .. she didnt even look twice at them. That made it hard all over again, that she would dump some kid and then trust me completely enough to go over a jump that, as far as she was concerned, was going to eat her ( :P ). I wanted to make this video to remember all the good times we had. Some people would say the good and bad times, but there werent any bad times with this pony. Even though Im riding a different horse, and am learning more from him , I still miss her like crazy. (I bring her an apple every time I go to the barn) This isnt the first thing that she has done that has made it harder

Tobi:
The first gelding that I ever regularly rode. Ya well, what can I say, I'm learning to love him :P He used to be a race horse and boy does he know it :P everynow and then its almost like he has a flash back lol, so he has his TB moments for sure. Hes a good boy most of the time, except during the winter, and at shows :P I am leasing him until the end of August, and by then I think that I will know who I am going to be riding. The only thing with Tobi is that we dont have much of a bond. I keep trying though, and I think that we are making progress, but I don't know if it will be enough.

  • at 5:31 your just like "no go away. i want to be with ritz lol

  • @FeickBardawill I agree. Hope you have fun with Tobi. :D

  • @horseangel262 I'd say that i'm pretty much over it. She's always hold a special place in my heart and I still enjoy spending time with her and stuff, but I'm with Tobi 100%. I took me a while to realize that if I don't give him a 100%, then he won't give it to me.

  • @FeickBardawill Yay but did you get over it after a while or did you still miss her?

  • @horseangel262 I visit her tons :) ,everytime I go to the barn!

I extrememly dislike how tons of people fond that first special horse then they have to stop riding it. It's so depressing.

  • @FeickBardawill Do you still vist Ritz? This also kinda happened to me. I rode this pony named Penny but I only rode her for a few weeks and I got to big for her. I moved on to bigger and bigger horses and I still missed Penny because she taught me how to canter and trot bare back. :D I just moved to a new stable and I've now meet this cute horse named Barney. I love him but he is a bit to easy for me so I have to move on to a bigger harder horse again. But I might get to ride barney sometimes.

  • @FeickBardawill

    i had thay problem

i love paddy but to naughty for me and john (instructor)

said you need a horse less naughty so i now ride zara but occanisly i ride paddy :D x

  • @3nglishRider thanks :) . Depending on if we're at a show, or at home, inside or outside we usually jump somewhere in between 2 and 2'9. We could jump higher, but it's not really necessary right now. I started riding western when I was four, and I've been riding eglish more seriously for about five years now :). Thank-you :)

  • @3nglishRider

No, I didn't. I'm still riding Tobi though - he's a good boy ... in the summer (when he can stay outside at night lol)

But don't get me wrong -I miss her like crazy. Moving up was just something that I needed to do.

  • ya taylor doesent try to empress people she is just good at riding and it impresses and taylor FYI its chrissy you know the one who leases Cindi
