@HeatherGlen33 The problem is that the Basil Rathbone Holmes movies were often not very faithful to the original source material. If nothing else his Holmes was fundamentally, if subtly, different than the "real" one (which Jeremy Brett comes far closer to getting right). So, if you like Basil's movies go right ahead (I've always liked him as an actor), but he was never really "Sherlock Holmes", but some alternate detective who just happened to have the same name.
Patrick Gowers' score for this extended episode, especially with the remix of the title theme for the end credits, was particularly haunting and truly set the mood for the story. Fitting indeed for Roy Marsden's appearance in the series.
