If youre still using the wal mart/outdoor products hiking poles that the handle(grip) came off of,try spraying hairspray on it then putting the handle back on.

@ChannelTheron Thats actually a great idea...I would've thought to use something a little stronger, but I think hairspray might be just the thing. Thanks for the tip!

Good overview of your stuff but man, that looks like a lot of stuff. How many miles did you hike in with it all?

@widerstand It is a lot of stuff, but as it turned out we were really glad to have all of it. Our plan was to hike about 4 miles to our campsite. The packs only came out to about 40lbs each, which is totally manageable, and actually pretty light for a winter excursion to the Whites.
