  • YOU don't like Celodonio Romero's arrangement of HIS composition!?! Do you think anyone cares? I should think that, since he wrote it, he can play it any way he wants. I suppose lots of people sing Bob Dylan songs better than Bob Dylan, but does it matter? Just learn to enjoy the work of the creator.

It's MUCH easier to criticize than to create, isn't it?

  • @eposz2 Now I think the right order of names is:

Pepe, Lito, Celino, Angel, Celin. It must have been shot well after Celedonio's death in 1996.

  • When did this performance take place?

  • So here they are 5 (not a quartet).

Is this OK in order of appearance from left to right:

Pepe, Lito, Celino, Celin, Angel? I am especially uncertain in the fourth guy right to Celino, if he is really Celin.

  • Anyone know where I can find this arrangement?

  • Wow, now that is a master ensemble. I nothing but easy to admire people with abilities we don't have and wont have. lol

  • @Y2H your fucking stupid

  • lo mas serio y extraordinario que he visto en este blog. Los Romeros, hace 30 anos los vi en el Lincoln Center

  • @excalibur1812 This piece is not the Lecuona'malagueña; this piece is "Noche en Málaga" ("Night in Málaga"), composed by Celedonio Romero dedicated to Angelita, her wife and Celín, Pepe & Angel's mother. It's a free composition based in the malaga'folklore. Excuse my disastrous english. i write from Málaga, in the south of Spain, the town were Celedonio and sons were born.

  • Am I the only SOB that can hear a little Ravi Shankar influence in some of the improvisational bits...?????
