  • It appeared to be design/engineering/constructio­n issues. I'm not too sure about Ford since my F-150 has a bad tappet. It started around 40,000 miles and has gotten worse to the point where I have to get it fixed. 5.4 L gasoline engine. Not happy with Ford! hnobleh

  • Looks like someone been filling up unleaded gas into the truck witch is a big no no on a diesel engine!

  • @hnobleh yes it would be interesting to know what % of 6.4 engines have major issues. There are a lot of them on the road, but they shouldn't be coming in so often, especially since they are only like 3 years old.

  • @ccruz19 yes. the 7.3 diesel engine. 1999-2003

  • @rlwillett too many after market wiring and the pto unit is in the way to remove the cab..
