Dr. Laura Schlessinger Donated a $2.3 Million Yacht To OCC's School Of Sailing And Seamanship.

Author and radio talk show host, Dr. Laura Schlessinger, has given Orange Coast Colleges School of Sailing and Seamanship a beautiful $2.3 million yacht.

"Dr. Laura" purchased the 58-foot sailboat in 2004, and has been keeping it in Santa Barbara. Shes a Santa Barbara resident. The boat arrived this week (Feb. 26) at OCCs Sailing Center in Newport Beach.

Dr. Laura called the boat On the Air, but the college has changed the name to Bluefin.

Orange Coast College will use the boat for its offshore sailing program, and students will begin taking classes on the boat this summer.

Bluefin is the third major donation to OCCs School of Sailing and Seamanship in less than two years. Roy E. Disney donated his record-breaking 86-foot yacht, Pyewacket, in the summer of 2005, and Southern California yachtsman, John B. Kilroy, gave his 80-foot maxi yacht, Kialoa III, to the college three months earlier.

Now 52 years old, and the largest public sailing program in the United States, OCCs School of Sailing and Seamanship provides nautical education to more than 4,000 student and adult sailors annually.

At Orange Coast College, there are as many places to give, as there are Ways of Giving. You can tailor your gift to reflect your interest in a campaign or project. You can support the school or college of your choice or make an unrestricted gift to be used at the discretion of the President in the area of greatest need. You can join a campus support group and enjoy the company of those with common interests. You can arrange a planned gift to benefit your family and Orange Coast College . You can memorialize a facility or endowment in your name or in the name of a loved one.

Cash The most common gift made to Orange Coast College is a gift of cash. Cash gifts are welcome and convenient, but there are other ways of giving that may produce financial benefits for the donor.

Securities
Many donors choose to make gifts in the form of stocks, bonds or mutual fund shares. Donors of securities may realize tax benefits by giving long-term securities that have appreciated in value.

Real Estate
Gifts of real property may provide exceptional tax and financial benefits to the donor, as well as relief from property management burdens.

Boats, Personal Property or Equipment
Gifts of boats, equipment, personal property and other items of value may be donated to support Orange Coast College.

Charitable Remainder Trust
This gift arrangement provides income to the donor for life or term of years, leaving the remainder to Orange Coast College at the end of the trust. A charitable remainder trust can provide substantial advantages in estate planning.

Charitable Lead Trust
This trust distributes payments to Orange Coast College for the term of the trust, after which the remainder is transferred to the donor's family members or heirs. As an estate-planning tool, a charitable lead trust provides significant wealth preservation opportunities.

Pooled Income Fund
Gifts are pooled for investment providing lifetime income to the donor, after which the remainder of the fund goes to Orange Coast College.

Charitable Gift Annuity
In this gift arrangement, the donor transfers assets to Orange Coast College in exchange for a lifetime annuity.

Gift of Life Insurance
A donor may give a paid-up policy no longer needed, or purchase a new policy that names the college as the beneficiary.

Flexible Endowment
This arrangement allows a donor to create an endowment over time through incremental gifts of varying amounts.

Testamentary Gift
The Orange Coast College Foundation gratefully accepts gifts through a donor's will or revocable living trust. Sample bequest language is available upon request. For more information about making a gift to the Orange Coast College Foundation please contact:

  • the catcher is ambidextrous i assume ?

  • @armandodanielb2 Ohhhhhhhhh, I get it. :)

  • @TheYoungGunist Some people are saying that in a part of the video he has the glove in the right hand and in another part in the left hand and it is true but that doesn't mean that it is fake... When you see it in the Left hand is when Alfonzo is catching and then in the right hand is when he is just holding the glove and looking the girl in the outfield...

  • @armandodanielb2 That makes no sense, " He does not catch with his right, so if you watch well he's just holding the glove." What do you mean by that?

  • We all know it's fake cause a girl was at a baseball game and not the kitchen

  • This video is real.. I know the catcher Alfonzo, is the Rookie of the San Francisco Giants that hited 12 hr in 89 games in 2006. He is from my hometown and i know him very well and believe me, he does not catch with the right, so if you watch well, he is just holding the glove...

  • The entire image at 0:27 is reversed, flipped, like some of you morons. Look at the catcher's chest protector, his throwing and catching hands, and the fans in the background.

  • @MrDphilli3 your an idiot, at 0:08, all you can see is the pitcher, and they are on both of their left hands aswell. 2x a fool

  • Everybody is so dumb!!! The catcher took his glove off and is holding it!!! Look closely!!!!
