Oh another thing, everyone shut up with the "boxing is dying,-MMA is better" and "MMA is shite, boxing is the truest combat sport". They are DIFFERENT and I love them both. I love boxing's heritage and history, I love MMA's newness and how quickly it's evolving. SUMMARY:- PUNCHING EACH OTHER IN THE FACE AND MAIMING EACH OTHER IS A BEAUTIFUL THING. (among consenting adults in an organised event/training environment. *coditions apply subject to status etc etc and all that)

Skipping with bare feet, you're a braver man than I am! Keep up the good work sir.

what is the exercise called in 1:25? Are different variations of this?
andrewdangerhill 7 months ago
@andrewdangerhill, these are called lunges. The one on the videos are the basic ones. There are a few few variations yes. For instance your front foot can land on a step; or rear foot can be place place face down on a bench. You also old the dumbbells above your head or raise them at arm length on the ride or straight in front of you shoulder high. Or touch the floor in front of you with the dumbbells (lunge and touch). You can step side ways (lunge clock).... and "lunge and front kick"... :-)

MMA is a good source of inspiration for training. I like watching MMA training videos and pick exercises of them. As for boxing boxers have deadly cardio, and so much technique in their hands. MMA is has to catch up on that and most pro mma fighters acknowledge that, that is why they invite pro-boxers and trainers to their training camp.
