IBM Thinkpad R51 Review/Overview

I Bought this lovely piece of hardware recently, and wasn't surprised to find that the fantastic build quality of my previous IBM machines was reciprocated to this black plastic square. Specs: Intel Centrino 1.5Ghz, 2Gb DDR ram, 80Gb HDD, ATI Radeon 7500 64Mb Gfx, 2 USB 2.0, Firewire, S-Video, and all that good stuff, please feel free to comment and whatever else.

@Devinowski since 1.8 came out, it's barely playable, you need to turn off everything just to play at 20+ fps.....

THANKS SO MUCH FOR HELPING ME SORT MY WIFI. anouther thing is that i have installed the drivers for the audio from ibm agian useless then installed this think its Sound fx or something and its still no sound. i have gained speaker in the taskbar. can you help. thanks

@U2007rjd The driver I used (at least I think I used) was the one from the lenovo site, you can find it by googling "IBM Thinkpad R51 Drivers" without quotes.

Wait, how did you get the built-in wireless to work? I can't seem to get it working on mine, I downloaded the driver from the Lenovo website, but when I install it, nothing happens!

@IBMThinkPadR51 I had the same problem trying to get the lenovo drivers to work, so I went to Intel's site and got the 2200B/G drivers, So far, no problems.

I got this one as an "early" Christmas gift from my teacher who also is a great friend. mine only has 512mb of ram and the battery is totally dead but i got another one for 25euro on the german amazon. c: Its just heavy elsethan is it cool. and the little light in the screen made the whole school class laugh like never before. I told them that it was smart only seven years back.. hehe.
