I have taken on this subject before, however, this video is different because I interviewed my friend, Rich. His opinion on breastfeeding and on breasts is very interesting and thought provoking.
@angerdux8 Thank you. I have a professional background in the health sciences btw. I'm sure it's frustrating especially for you because I can understand what you must go through with the growing trend to over coddle children and I agree it's to their detriment. Our society has changed so much since I was a child and many kids are disrespectful and the parents don't demand they have respect for others. They're in for a rude awakening.
@Herdbound We have the right to intervene as these children are minors and parents don't have the right to do anything they want with their children. My background in the healthcare professions does qualify me to make a judgement. I've studied Erikson and there are emotional developments that children need to go through. These moms are stunting their development. There is nothing beneficial by breastfeeding a school aged child. It is doing more harm than good.
@mia0899cs the point I think that people are not missing is that you are judging someone that you do not know, a situation that you are not familiar or experienced with. Who are you to decide whom breastfeeds or who doesn't ? by what right do you claim authority ? All this shows is that you are a very judgemental person and its not really an attractive attribute. Yes in nature mammals wean thier offspring when the mother and nature decide the time is right. Not when someone like you judge it.
@TheTravelfool This is so sad. It's unbelievable that the special needs girl wasn't removed after she was raped. I recently saw a horrific case of child abuse on the news and the social worker was at the house while the one adopted boy was somewhere out in the fields with his adopted dad who poured kerosene on him and set him on fire. The adopted mother was also abusing and restraining the other kids and the social worker didn't notice any signs. They look if the house is clean.
@mia0899cs yeah the saddest part is the crap that is on MTV or even on TV on just about any channel. Also, what they are putting in our food and the pesticides etc. Did you know in the US 1/4 kids are allergic to something and 1/4 have asthma?! Or that 1 in 38 boys in England has autism, the highest in the world. As for social worker a special needs girl was raped and murdered by her brother and mother (also special needs) in NY and the social workers did NOT remove her after the 1st rape!!
@TheTravelfool I hear you! I agree that we don't really have common sense in this world anymore. Kids are coddled too much nowadays and they won't be self-sufficient and independent adults. Many are spoiled and it comes down to social services who tell us how to raise a child. The way the world is now I don't think it's a good place to bring children into. I watched MTV and I saw that, "Sweet 16" and this girl got a brand new Mercedes. Unbelievable!
@mia0899cs also, we give too many excuses for a kids' behaviour. Imho it all comes down to self responsibility and self motivation. Parents today are too soft when they need to be firm. It's entirely emotionally unhealthy for a child to breastfeed even at age 5, and that can be backed by scientific evidence and COMMON SENSE....not that we have any in this world.
@caffeinatedmama Great analogy! You're right that making love is beautiful. However, it isn't when it comes to pedophiles. People seem to miss the point of these vids. It's inappropriate to breastfeed a child! A newborn, an infant who is helpless does need their mother's milk. There's a reason a child has teeth. These kids are eating food and then they suck on their mother's breasts. This is not healthy or beneficial.
Sex is supposed to be a beautiful thing too, but look at all the pornos out there. Just because something is supposed to be beautiful doesn't mean that sickos aren't going to try to twist it's meaning.

@mia0899cs Mia, you are right. As an educator and academic, I have witnessed the growing trend to over-coddle children, to their detriment.
