I used to work for the St. Paul Saints back in the mid 2000s and Jackie was a coach there. Before a game I used to sit and talk to him and he would tell stories of baseball back in the day. It was my favorite part of working for the ball club. All of his stories had a meaning and he never sounded like he was name dropping or wasn't greatful for every day he was either playing or coaching. He is a wise man, and sees baseball as more than just the game. He understands it's magic.
