Video shot using a GoPro HD Hero: http://t.co/TKqOzRW

While snorkeling at Castaway Cay, guests can discover a sunken Mickey Mouse statue, boat, and even an old Nautilus submarine from the former 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride at Walt Disney World. Castaway Cay can be reached only by sailing on Disney Cruise Line.

  • you can touch the boats?

or there in a restringe area

  • @AAAAALLLLLDDDDDOOOOO You can get as close as you want. There is nothing between you and the boats.

  • How much does it cost to snorkel and how far out do you go?

  • @christhenerd8 There's no additional cost to swim in the Snorkel Lagoon. You can bring your own snorkel and mask or rent one there (which does cost a few bucks). It took me around 15 minutes of casual swimming to reach the back side of the lagoon.

  • I have a feeling you spent your whole Disney Cruise vacation recording! You paid thousands of dollars to go have fun not to just record the whole time!

  • My dream is to find that mickey statue. My mom said maybe next time we go there we could go on the glass bottom boat tours and try to find it there

  • @Nowhereman10 I looked up some pics on google images, you're right. But it still looks like the Nautilus from the book :P

  • @ethansharkV3 I assume your joking. This Nautilus was one of the ride boats used in the Disney World 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride, which was nearly identical to the Submarine Voyage ride at Disneyland, except for the use of subs which were made to look like the Disney movie version. I've seen pics of this at the Castaway Cay before and it had the wheelhouse and sawtooth ram in place. What happened to it?

  • @Nowhereman10 This is the Nautilus from the book, not the Disney movie. The Nautilus from the movie can be seen in Disneyland Paris.

  • Been there so much fun and peaceful

  • @kewlkat8208 i was there 1 week ago and it is gone

  • Mickey's actually pointing at the fish. LOL Me and Mickey are real good friends, i sleep with a plush Mickey Mouse & 2 Minnies. They are my friends, love 'em to pieces! Heck, they're better than real friends. LOL Would love to snorkel past Mickey! They took off the top part of the 20K submarine though. It's supposed to have that half-circle & round window at the front of it. Oh well, still cool.

  • @InsideTheMagic My family's been going to Florida for 20 years or so, and Disney for 18 years or so, yet never ONCE have we ever stayed at Disney's resort and hearing that and seeing this video, I hope we do this or next year.

  • The water wasn't as clear when I went. Probably because there was more people. I had a waterproof camera with me. It was so much fun!
