Is this the same Bwanna who worked in Jacksonville in the late 1970's at Y103 and was said that couldn't keep a job?

About 375 of my FB friends can ignore this. You wouldn't understand. For all my former radio DJ friends who remember the late Bwana Johnny, this is for you:
-
In the 1970's, I used to watch Bwanna Jhonny on channel 6, on Saturday afternoons, in Miami. He would host Creature Feature Double Feature. My entire life revolved around waiting all week to see him and the horror movies! It must be the same Bwanna Jhonny... Unless there was another one out there but probably not. Wonder if he's still alive and has any clips of those shows...

Interesting record. I think that that guy would have drove me to a different station if I was in that area and heard him!

970 AM Hackensack NJ was only Top 40 for about 3 years; they turned into a religious station in 1974 -- "The New Voice Of Inspiration", after which they swapped call signs with a Boston station in '08. They are currently formatted as conservative talk WNYM.

That's some funky synthesized sound at the beginning. Almost sounds porn-ish.
This is cool! Where did you get this Spencer?

I have to thank Peter Kanze for this one - picked it up from him about 4 to 5 years ago. Pete finds the most amazing things in his travels around the radio broadcast world!

@WABCRADIO77: were there more of these releases?

Yes - Programmer's Digest was issued every 2 weeks between 1972 to 1974. They show up every once in a while on Ebay.
