Ok, so this is my first upload of one of my own original songs.

I will put up a better version when I get back to my better mic.

Lyrics:
I laugh in the right places
I put on airs and graces
Just to see that smile, that I've been waiting for all night
but its not in my direction, no its pointed at my friend
Its the same old bloody story, and I know how this one ends
With me all alone
In my own home
and you and him just lying on the couch, spending all night making out
and I pretend that I don't care, but its not fair
That nice guys really seem to finish last
It makes the whole thing seem a farce

I know how much it gets to me
That the list of your hypocracy
Gets longer by the day
When you call me up to say
That its not a real relationship
Just a physical partnership
But as you look at my blank stare
It never dawns on you to care
About how this story ends
Maybe we're more than just friends

yeah i know how that can happen but still. the verse melody is so obviously stolen, sort it out mate.

hardly stolen. there are a few parts which are basically the same, but the chorus is mine, the lyrics are mine, and the sentiment of the song is mine. I didn't set out to steal anything. And 90% of music can be shown to be the same as someone else. Total originality is hard to come by these days, and those are the leaders of their music generation (like Frank, or Dylan or the Beatles). At least my song has a majority of original componenets - its hard for one guy and an acoustic to sound fresh.
