Sorry Kate, but Leslie Kenton was doing raw food recipe books long before your's was published, just check Amazon for further info. I have one of her books that has recipes in that dates from 1984 and one book that dates 1994 that is purely raw recipes. I know you say "first UK" book well her's is from the UK also.

@wakeywakey2910 this is the first superfoods recipe book, 2 date there is still no other superfoods recipe book. Eat Smart Eat Raw was the first raw food recipe book in the UK. Leslie Kenton's book recommended raw foods but it was more of an informative book than a recipe book, & a lot of the recipes in it arent raw.

To get your body back to one of true health I believe is helped on by being on a high raw, vegan diet. It does necessarily need to include copius amounts of expensive packaged "superfoods" from overseas, you can get nearly all you need from your own garden and/or farmers markets. It's also about what you remove from your diet. Nothing like a bit of self promo for your books there Kate "an undervalued classic"..(wink wink...) LOL...

@wakeywakey2910 sadly we cant get all we need from fruit & veg these days bcos the soil is so depleted & there is so much pollution. nutrient levels in food are around a fifth what they were 50 years ago. plus we have 2 contend with more stressful lives, emotionally & in terms of the toxins in the environment so we need more than our grandparents did.
