The babies are now 9 weeks old. They have all learned how to fly this week. I have trimmed just the very tips of their wings so that they can still fly pretty far distances, but they can not fly to high places where I can not reach them.

They are all doing very well and all of them are very sweet and outgoing!!

  • This is a great video. The babies are soooo funny. It's neat that your husband seems to enjoy being their jungle gym (or is that Jim?) Thank you for sharing. Ann

  • LOL..... anyone standing within flight distance becomes a jungle "jim" or "jane" to these babies. LOL They love climbing and getting snuggles from anyone who gets close to them. It is fun!!

  • my little boy got so big. Do the females usually take more to males or is that a falacy? Keep lovin em up! When are they ready to go home? Thankyou for the videos. You are an amazingly compassionate breeder and impeccably clean. lol love erica

  • Thank you for your kind comments. We expect them to be weaned right around christmas time. I don't think that either sex of bird likes either sex of human any more than the other. Caiques pretty much like ANYONE who offers to play with them.

  • aawwwwww

  • Whot happend to the 4th one?

  • I sense the making of a Dixieland Trio. :)

  • Pleeeeeeeeez let me have one

  • I'm so confused! I thought baby white bellied caiques were born with all black heads... my two are almost 9 months old and they still have mostly black heads. I got them from a reputable breeder and the black is slowly going away, but why were yours born with almost no black?

  • i want one sooo bad... also why are the white bellied caiques so much money?

  • how long do they live?
