Wow i thought i was the only one that felt that Mr.Bernie Williams didn't get treated by the orginazation the way he deserve to be treated he is and will always be a class act i think what Bernie deserved was to be able to go out on his own terms and be able to get his 300th Career homerun and finish his career with over 2500 hits that was more than possible and the yankees shitted on that .

You're right. And that's because he gives 100%. And even when he makes an error the fans are always behind him. Jeter is probably the most clutch Yankee hitter since Gehrig. I could be wrong but it sure seems that way. However Bernie is my all time favorite because he just quietly got the job done. No hype, no controversey. His post season numbers and 4 gold gloves speak for itself. I love Jeter but Bernie Williams is my favorite. Jeter is a hall of famer though. He'll get 3000 hit's for sure.

oh he could retire right now and get into Cooperstown. 4WS and something like a .315 lifetime avg. and all those records he set in the old stadium.

No doubt. Unlike other players Jeter's numbers mean something. That's why the fans like him. However the Yankee brass didn't really give Bernie Williams the respect that they gave Matsui (Mr. Double Play) and Arod (Mr. Choke 2004,05 and 06) Arod has a good glove. However him and Matsui's numbers are almost all fluff. They almost never fail to disapoint in an important game. Bernie is more clutch than both of them combined.

oh yeah. but arods been clutch somewhat this season (except for the 3 DP's hes hit into with the bases loaded in the past few days. But matsui had that set up game tying back to back doubles in the 2003 ALCS game 7. but there just not as consistant but a long shot. remember bernie was part of that play too...
