I have to say, being a long time Journey fan I prefer Steve Perry. However, I do enjoy Arnels voice as well.

Replacing Steve Perry's voice is like replacing Julius Caesar's war tactics with the thoughts of a monkey. It's like taking away the peanut butter from the jelly and replacing it with cheese. It's like taking away the tires from a car and replacing them with cinder blocks and expecting it to run. Steve Perry without the Journey is.....not journey anymore

@alwaysshere ahhhhhhh. i beg to disagree. a lot of talents are hidden in sahara desert which are yet to be discovered.... a m,an with a talent needs is god damn break... that s what befall arnel. he got that lucky break. he's got that talent and nobody cant take that away from him now. he s the present and future of journey band now. accept that. and enjoy listening to their next album. mwahhh

@lixdrei yyyawwwnnnn.... arnel doesnrt have ahit of his own...so he sings someone elses ...thats cool he s a copy cat singer alot of people are doing it now...takes true talent to write a hit...he hasnt done that yet!

@CinjinCain It's not a competition. It's not Steve v's Arnel! I like Steve too. But just remember, it was the band hunted Arnel down and wanted him to join them. And really Arnel and his 'life story' has touched so many hearts out there, more so than any words to a song can. He so deserves everything good in his life and good on him!
