@oleedee Yes in deed it did, I have to research her for my English class, and found out she lost everything, money, marriage, put into debt, when she made the dinner party. I agree with that to; yes we still don't have perfectly equal rights but we are still moving forward and eventually we will all be treated equal . . . okay so it might take a shit load of generations after me to fulfill it but it'll happen.

also if you liked the dinner party you should look into the rest of her art work, form the feminist days. Womenhouse, the birth project, and through the flower are some of her greatest works next to the dinner party. Don't forget she's Jewish, she's got an art collection called from light to darkness (it might be backwards though)

@oleedee You have to understand that back in the day women didn't have any rights, even at the time the dinner party was made. We have loads of Phallic(penis shaped) art work done by men, but when a women does yonic( vaginal shaped) work it's considered dirty or pornographic. That's why the dinner party was such a shocker at the time. If you did do the phallic version of the dinner party you'd probably have to make sure all they at off it was hot dogs ( :
