Just a two minute sample of great Vintage Route 66 POV's along the Mother Road from Chicago to L.A. Interesting hard-to-find Stock Footage, available for licensing through FootageWorld.com, for all projects. All Rights Reserved.
In 1963 my parents & I were travelling (in our new '63 Chevy Impala Super Sport) from SoCal to Indiana and drove Route 66 as far as St. Louis. It was July 4th and we ended up behind a native american indian parade in Flagstaff, Arizona. We had to wait for almost 90 minutes before we could continue because Route 66 was also Main St. in Flagstaff (and in many towns at that time). There was no alternate route, no way around. Amazing that cross country traffic was held up for a parade!
