The Lowe's Shop Class host, Keith Flippen, demonstrates how to build the shelves and nosing for an accent table in Part 2 of this video series. There are 2 shelves for this particular accent table that will fit into the base you built in Part 1.

First, cut the shelves on the table saw. Cut notches on all corners of both shelves with a jig saw. Then, test the fit. Adjust if necessary. Next you can attach the first shelf to the bottom rails with glue. Then, use a pneumatic nailer to finish. Do the same with the middle shelf and rails.

Finally, you can add nosing to the shelfs for a more polished look. There should be 4 nosing pieces for each shelf. Cut and then test the fit. Finish by attaching with glue and finishing nails.
