  • how much you spend in money in that airplane?

  • Differce from the way you build them. You can buy them ready to fly, then they can be over the €1000,- but you can buy the components and "glue" them together for around the €500/600 But you have a top quality model then. Ofcourse there are parts that are carbon, but also in glassfiber, so you have different degree's in price, depending on the rate of energy you punt in by yourself, and the materials you want to use. But there are nice models from balsa and glass for 150,-

  • F1B best class on the world!!! Beautiful wideo.

  • Tnx :)

  • Did you know that propellor release was first time made by Viktors Rosonks, 97's world cup winner and 2010 European winner?

  • Discus launch is indeed a free flight class. It is a great equalizer, allowing those of modest arm strength to participate on an equal footing. The older style, Javelin, gives a distinct advantage to those of great arm strength. Ultimately, those who build the best planes and choose the best air are going to win, regardless of style.

  • F3K- radio control DLG- discus launch glider. These guys know about thermals!

    cheers

  • Indeed. But DLG is a Freeflight class if im right. They need just like f1b the thermal to stay up.

  • With the HUGE exception of rc sailplane pilots, who learn about thermal activity, aerodynamics, lift, airfoils, wingloading, etc.. piloting in/out of them, riding lift as the thermals change, chasing out of sink, riding the next thermal wave, etc.. A good DLG pilot being some of the best pilots for reading the weather.

    great vid- beautiful.

  • Thanks. I saw u live in Canada. is there not a single freeflight club or something? or far away? Its indeed a pitty u are the only one that is interested in this lovely hobby/sport.
