TUCO'S big life adventures from 2002 thru 2007. Raising this colt from a foal to a saddle horse has been a journey for both of us.
You'll never know how good of a job you've done training a colt until you get OUT of the round pen and let them TRY!
This gelding is all me. Good, Bad, or Ugly, all Tuco knows is what I've taught him. And so far Tuco continues to amaze me. He's growing in to a fine horse.
Grab a friend, be brave, get out there and RIDE your green horses. You'll have happier, healthier, and better horses for doing that.
As with all my videos, YOUR COMMENTS AND RATINGS ARE WELCOME!
Come along for the ride with Tuco and ENJOY! :~)
Music: Il Buono, Il Brutto, Il Cattivo (The Good, The Bad, The Ugly), Ennio Morricone

  • Hi! I have a horse by El Rey Rojo too! I just added a video of him! I think they look alike!! Tuco is a very nice horse! I loved your video!

  • Thank You!

Went and checked the pedigrees and Tuco and his little brother 'Rojo' (he's got a vid here too) are definitely related to El Rey Rojo. My 'Rojo' is "El Rey Luna Rojo'. The colts sire is El Rey Roan and El Rey Rojo is 'Roans' grand sire. So you have our Uncle or something like that. LOL

I'll check your channel for your video. What's your 'El Rey' horses name?

Thanks for watching and for the nice comment. :~)

  • I doubt that. But thank you for the confidence and the support means alot to me. Perhaps if i was able to start riding again regularly that may help but since that isnt possible for me with lady yet who knows whatll happen right.

  • The weight gain was no doubt just a phase in your life. Now that you've got Lady and you're busy again with a horse the weight will come back off quickly. You'll be back in your fighting weight and good condition before you know it. Keep playing with your mare! LOL!

    You're a sweet girl Gitte. :~)

  • Thats my gelding. I had to leave him behind when i moved over here. I dint ride for three years like i said then went home for a visit. Thats when i rode him for a few minutes and was taped its the only footage i have of him. I tripled in weight by then and as i said had an awfull position and couldnt do my excercises anymore but thats naturally after not riding for so long. Came back home waited like half a year or so and bought lady. Ive actually lost weight since then to. But thank you.

  • I think they may have been photos... but then again it seems like they were video clips. It was awhile ago Gitte, but you were on a beautiful bay in an indoor arena, riding a Dressage saddle I think. You did look younger and 'lighter' if you know what I mean. Your hair was very long and you had that SMILE on your face. Thinking you were still 'back home'. Any way, you subscribed to me when I first got on Youtube and that video made me subscribe to you. I've enjoyed the Lady Saga.

    :~)

  • Wich clips did you see if i may ask. The only footage i have of riding my gelding was after i hadnt ridden in like three years infact in that time i barly ever saw a horse up close. Because of this my posture was afull i like tripled in weight and couldnt even do any of my excercises properly anymore. And anything i have of riding lady was again after not beeing in the saddle for years and only a little walk and trot every few months for a few minutes i wasnt focusing on my position then iether.

  • LOL! You ARE a 'real horsepeople' Gitte. Look at ALL you do for Lady, take care of her, feed her, worry for her, groom her, ride her, love her. That's a 'horsepeople'. :~)

Better riding does come with practice. I've seen your early vids tho. You are a lovely rider! Don't be hard on yourself because you have to build a relationship with a new horse. Lady is hotter to handle that's all. Don't give up and ride her when ever you're able to. You'll get your form back and your saddle confidence too.

  • Well i could never do what you do though. Ive helpted out with people training and breaking them and ive handled younger horses even had a few to help out whom had some issues like beeing scared and bucking and so on. But nothing comes close to what the real horsepeople like you do. Not to mention havnt ridden properly in years. Kind of lose the feeling for it all i think its rather sad.

  • Gitte every time you handle Lady you ARE training her. You have a young lovely mare and your hands are full. You and me are trainers by default. We bought young horses and some one has GOT to do this for them. They won't get better on their own we must help them find the way. 8 horses here, 7 raised from FOALS. Can't afford fancy trainers so that leaves me to figure it out. Takes courage and determination but with every accomplishment your confidence improves.

Take small steps on the journey.
