Marin

Marin is an animated short made by Leo de Wijs during the master program animation at the HKU in the Netherlands.




Marin tells the story of a bumbling architect living in a grim post-global warming Amsterdam. After a subway crash Marin finds an unusual source of inspiration that is about to set off a change in himself and his peers...

Marin is a reversed personal take on the Hans Christian Andersen's story of The Little Mermaid and serves as the exegesis part of an examination into Disney and adaptation practices.

Amazing!!! How many time you did it?

From pre production to post production it took 6 months, and spend about a month and a half on the actual animation.
