Not quite, while the torpedos had no real effect, they did jam the rudders, effectively making Bismarck uncontrollable.
Now bismark had a realy crappy AA suite (to be fair so did most cap ships at that time -even USN BBs). Bismarck only had 20x 20mm AA guns and 12 of them where older models (280 rpm vs 480rpm) the other 8 where of the Quad 20mm type.
The 37mm medium battery was semi-auto only. And the 105mm Heavy battery had two diffrent mounts with diffrent characteristics from each other!

@iowa611 of 2200 men on bismarck only 100 survived. whats about rest in a moment of peace to remember them all, both hood and bismarck? or should i write let us rest in a moment of peace to remember the sailors who gave their lives to sink the hood?

i have to say that the bismark was a powerful ship her crew where fearless. yet even tho the men on the bismark where Nazis they are humans also for there country and honor same with the hood as long as theres men with hate there will always be war yet let the men that fought and died on all the ships R.I.P in eternal slumber
