It's apparent that Mr. Romney hasn't taken the time to do the research on the FairTax. Maybe study it himself instead of waiting for others to tell him about it.

A question for Romney, what use is a home mortgage deduction, on income tax, without an income tax. It's like Apple giving you a coupon for 50 dollars off an IPHONE, and come to find out that they are giving them away for free that day, and YOU'RE mad because you didn't get the 50 dollars off. What an IDIOT....

NO stupid. The construction industry already pays, payroll, capital gains, income tax, and a whole slew of other taxes. Quit scarring people about the fair tax. Homes that are already built, already have these embedded taxes in them. Why tax them twice. Romney has a complete lack of understanding of economics.

Obviously Romney did not know anything about Fair Tax. He just wishes he had enough forsight to endorse the Fair Tax. Once Huck did it was too late for Romney in more ways than one.

"The 'Fair Tax' idea is a scam created by the Church of Scientology..."
Not true. The Church of Scientology did cobble together some kind of national sales tax idea, but they clearly did not do any appreciable research on it, whereas the FairTax, created by Americans for Fair Taxation, has.

Huckabee is anti-tax and anti-illegals. He is your man.
-
No thanks to Huckabee. I dont want my taxes rasied and my country overrun with illegal immigrants. Huckabee should start saying "what can I do for my countrymen" instead of "what can I do for the illegal immigrants!"
-
It may be that he (or advisors) knows what the FairTax is about. If so, this is really bad for Romney. Go Huckabeee!
-
I would think about voting for him if he supported the fair tax.

I'm voting for Ron Paul myself, but I do have to say that there HAS to be SOME money coming in for our imperial federal government. What about the military to defend us? What about infrastructure? The private sector can't quite supply everything we need (libraries for instance ... what businessman would actually want to start a library to "make money"?). But I'm with you on Ron Paul. :)
What "people" would he get to really study this issue? The ones who make a living by understanding the current tax code? I doubt Romney's tax advisor is going to advise himself out of a job by telling his boss that the FairTax is a good system.

How sad, he has no clue he just lost a vote i would have been proud to give him based on all of his thoughts on other issues. He really needs to give the fair tax book a read, then he would know why his answer was completely false/uninformed, hell my names haveturds and i know this bill would be the best thing for the american people sense the constitution.
