Interesting Fact: The scene at 2:16 is the only scene where Raymond Burr is standing unsupported in the entire film. Burr reportedly was in so much pain during these final months of cancer (he died about two months after wrapping production) that in this entire film, he is shown mostly seated, and when standing, leaning on a table or anything sturdy.

I thought this was a very entertaining and some times fun movie. But sad to watch too. Because it was Raymond Burrs Swan Song. He looked better than you would have expected given he was so very ill. I am sure his long time friend Barbara Hale was worried sick about him the whole time. And in the last scene when he tell her and Genie Francis to"smile" you could almost see the strain in Barbara Hales smile and her little laugh. Raymond Burrs smile was sweet, subtle and serene. It's very touching
Great to see someone so closely associated with comedy do dramas and murder mysteries. And so well. You go Harley er, I mean, Calliope!
