  • I TOTALLY remember waiting for the final bell in school grabbin my bag and rushing home to see whammys take people's money. My mom new I wanted to see it so she left it on USA Network for me. These were the fn days! I even remember being such a HUGE fan, enough to draw the board on my notebook and share the game with friends using a calculator :D Ok I sure didn't have a girlfriend but who needs that when you got to see 'Whammy Whamete' LOL! surprised I remember that... so many memories! ty!!

  • Rod: Who wouldn't be happy with a weekend in the Bahamas?

Apparently, Michael Larson. Remember his reaction when he stopped the board on a Kauai trip. Lucky for him though stopping on a Bahamas trip was on the last of his mandatory passed spins and he was able to pass the remaining earned ones and win.

  • things changed when the neon board debut around 1985

  • @acerz1563 That's also the network on which I watched it when I was a kid. It was on at about 11:00, when I watched it pretty much every day. I was upset when it went off the air, but I wasn't too surprised because of what happened when Michael Larson was on the show.

  • @MrIGIVEFREESUBS You get the highest dollar amount on the board when you stopped it.

  • what happens when u hit big bucks??

  • @acerz1563 I was a game show addict by the time I was old enough to just ephemerally understand the concept and operate a television (about 3 years old, early 70s). I still remember the first Wheel of Fortune with Chuck Woolery, and the 30 minute Price is Right with a black-haired Bob Barker. Not to mention Bowling for Dollars, Let's Make a Deal, $25,000 Pyramid, Crosswits, Joker's Wild and soooo many others, before idiotic "news" shows took over daytime TV.

  • I remember watching this on summer afternoons back in the early 90s

  • Across the Board space is in the next round, quiznationrules.

  • Where's the "Across the Board" space?

  • I believe so.
