  • It's My Life & We Gotta Get out of this place is by Eric Burdon, the ex-leader of The Animals. Bruce also covered "San Franciscan Nights" in 1967, when the song came out. Bruce was a big Burdon fan. He also did "Boom Boom" for a long time, I think he still does it on recent concerts. And very interesting: Bruce asked Burdon to record an album with him, but Burdon turned down.

  • Fucking RULES!!!!!

was just listening to the 10/30/76 one earlier

    Bruce is GOD.

  • The great story about the relationship between Bruce and his Dad during It's My Life is from the boot "We Gotta Get Outta This Place" - a soundboard recording from 04/11/76 -at the PALLADIUM in NYC. It is absolutely amazing. The first time I heard it the hair on my forearms stood up. An instrumental intro precedes and plays underneath Bruce's dialog and the music and his voice mirror the tense relationship they had with each other.

  • There's an old bootleg I was turned on to about 30+ years ago where Bruce was playing (Bottom Line, maybe?). And he started this song with the story of him and his Dad fighting about what his Dad thought Bruce was doin w/ his life. It rips ur heart out the way it was put together. I wonder if this was that version...

  • I remember seeing that tour in a small theatre in Waterbury CT. It rocked. I rremember bruce jumping from the piano top

and the incredibly high energy of a 25 or 26 year old Springsteen.

I do remember the story about his father he told on that tour. I have heard it on bootleg too. I think it was the story of having flat feet and not making it into the army or something like that

  • crazy =______________="

  • Wow! I'd love to see the whole song, this was thrilling footage.

  • no that is later on. if you have the 3 disc edition from 1975-1985 it. it's the first song
