MAN! this challenge was hardest to me cuz forgot about this xD

tricky - I would have never gotten it. Sat there for 15 minutes trying to figure out how to sacrifice the guy already tapped and how to sacrifice the guy that gives me 1 life and still manage to block everyone. Didn't know you could assign creatures to block and then kill them. I assumed the damage just went to you.

thanks for the video but I'm still not sure why it worked. I"m new to the game so I don't have a inbreed knowledge of all the rules. Is the video saying that because the cards were initially block during the blocking phase that even if those monsters are sacrificed that still block?

@jonnycashalots Yes, this was true in the previous MTG game as well, when an attacking creature is assigned a blocker, no matter what happens to the blocker before the damage phase, the damage is still diverted from the blocker's controller. A common tactic is to save a creature with an ability that requires self sacrifice, such as Bottle Gnomes or Elfish Eulogist, for blocking, then to sacrifice it after assigning it to block, so you get more for your mana out of it.

@jonnycashalots Note also that this trick wont work against attacking creatures with trample, because when being blocked by a creature that is sacrificed before the damage phase, the game is essentially telling itself that the attacker was blocked by a 0/0 creature. The are various other things that this trick wont save you from either, such as direct damage effects, like Flameburst Dragon's ability.

These challenges aren't really hard its just rules of the game they don't really tell you about, but thanks for the video had me stumped.
