  • Mother Clare what about drug overdoses? Is this considered suicide?

  • @Lasurge1982 Perhaps, but a person's intention matters.

  • Mother Clare i have 3 friends that have died of drug overdoses in the last three years one of the most recent was an ex girlfriend about a month and a half ago... My question to you.... is this the same thing as comitting suicide and what might there souls be going through right now?

  • @Lasurge1982 Some people are in fact not wanting to live, and that is why they take toxic substances. Some are imagining that they are harmless, and accidentally hurt themselves. So there is no one answer as to how this plays out for a soul. When we value the gift of life we try to take the best possible care of our bodies, minds, hearts an souls, and still we make mistakes and hurt ourselves sometimes.

  • Mother- how do you know this? Is this fact or theory? If I were to take my own life, I would be hopeful of no more pain, punishment or return to earth.

  • @mysticalHeir As I work with many people to heal their pain and sorrow through a spiritual life and connection to God, I have seen into some people's past lives where they suicided, and saw with them what pain that was to live out on the other side. Suicide only increases the pain, because a person who does so has put themselves in the place of God and decided for themselves when to exit, instead of trusting that God's Love has a plan for them.

  • I myself do believe that there is no heaven or hell...but suicide does seperate one from god or eternal light..ect..ect. until they can recognize and come to terms with the hurt they have caused. My grandfather took his life and it tore our family apart. However...I am also a believer that god resides in all of us. We are all a part of god and when we realize this...we are no longer trapped in the dogma and myths. And we are our only judge...we will face ourselves..ourself.

  • I think its amazing how people watch these videos and then bash...asking how she has the right or knowledge to present such ideas. First of all...what right or evidence does any religion have? They all present ideas that there is no proof of and all pass some form of judgement. Speaking of the bible one can look at the old testament with a mean and vengeful god or the new...so when the bible thumpers come out...which one are you referring to?

  • What about the people you would have hurt? Even the best people sometimes hurt others. Also, not appreciating life? Have you lived with double depression? I myself would not commit suicide, but its seems easy to comment about something you don't understand.

  • That is very touchy territory. For the most part, we need to realize that we are, in fact, accomplishing something by still being alive, which it to pay off some karma. We can always still pray for people and help that way. So it is for the most part wrong thinking to imagine we know that there is no reason for us to be here. God chooses the time of our death. We can learn to accept that in humility and gratitude.
