@BeeRich33 the loop antenna is for medium wave signals. He has the radio tuned to 945 kHz. This antenna works inductively. It does not need to be connected to the radio. The antenna works from about 530 kHz to about 1700 kHz.

Why not just raise the whip and put a longwire on it? The loop isn't even attached to the radio.

Great antenna. Do you think will will boost a weak signal from an old tube radio just by putting it on the side or would it have to be connected to the set?
