maybe? that's for sure! Those crazy drivers would drive everywhere if they could... So the pavements must be like that (or gunmen) :D

every pavement i walked on in egypt (sharm el sheikh, hurghada) is like that...
dunno... maybe so that cars cant get there XD

why are the pavements raised so high in Sakala, when you want to cross a side street you have to take a steep step down and then lift yourself up to the risen pavement at the other side
