This video impressed me to say the least. Although I may have differences in political opinion, I am very thankful to my Governor for taking the time to do this. I am truly proud to be a Vermonter.

I'm thankful that I have the right to vote for somebody else for Governor when your term is over. Cutting my unemployment benefits from 335.00 a week last winter to 130.00 a week this winter was a HUGH surprise. We're hero's when we are working 16 hrs. a day/ six days a week, spring, summer and fall to repair your roads but when the seasons over you turn away and cast us aside like yesterdays trash. Governor Shumlin is the best Governor in this country. Even though I am no longer a resident of Vermont, I will always be a Vermonter.

This is why Vermont is the BEST state in the union! When I visited Vermont I didn't want to leave. Thank you Gov. Shumlin! I would be more than happy to spend my tourist dollars in the Great State of Vermont!

I am very heartened by officials making these kinds of statements to young people. Let's keep creating a society in which they (whatever the differences, as he says) feel it is more than OK to be who one really is. Everyone has an essential piece of the puzzle, something to contribute that is uniquely their own. Let's not forget it.
