I found this spider-hunting wasp in my back yard & filmed it digging its burrow and burying the spider underground where it will lay an egg on the paralyzed spider.
Thanks for putting this up. My girlfriend and I were hiking around the Mt. Sanitas area last night and TWICE saw an orange-bodied, blue-winged wasp dragging a stunned gray spider about three times its size through the grass.
Ha! It's good to know I'm not the only Spider Hunter out there. If you are one of us (Spider Hunters) please join Universal Spider Hunters group on Facebook.

When the wasp stings the spider...It injects her eggs...
Then the wasp buries the spider to keep the eggs warm....And the eggs hatch...Then feed on the spiders abdomen....
The Spider is alive throughout the process....
