  • I didn't think that Steiger made a Tiger series III 525. I thought they only made the Tiger series III 450 & 470. and a series IV Tiger 525.

  • Does it have a QSK19 Cummins engine?

  • @mountaincat1000 now by no means am i dising the steiger name or nothing personally i love steigers i also love versatile it it impossible to beat eather of there dependibility but im just sayin they had issuse with weakk planitarys and versatile didnt versatile were probably in my opinion and the opinion of most who live in the area one of the or the best 4wd built to date in dependibility

  • @mountaincat1000 I live in the fargo north dakota area and just about everybody agrees with me they all had problem or herd of people having problems with the planitary gears being weak and breaking

  • @mountaincat1000 Disagree there. I once worked farm industry in North Dakota, and actually sold both Steiger and the Versatile (then, before Ford became involved). Guess I should say IH also, since they absorbed Steiger. Anyway, there really is not a whole lot of differences between the two brands in type of construction, design, outboard planetary axles. Neither is 10X the tractor of the other. Both sometimes broke down, but both very dependable.

  • @TheMadNorsky but a Versatile/Ford was 10x the tractor they practically never broke down thats why you still see so many around

  • these old girls got some smoke under them
