  • Hi Shawn, Continuing to work on the game. I see the beautiful extension in your right arm coming through impact but I even after having tried have not been able to get it right. It kind of folds. Any suggestions. Thanks. Working on seeing you for lessons in July 2011.

  • @mjs0039 It sounds to me like you are allowing the arms to crash into the body because the ball is still your default target; but I would have to see; in the meantime, review my "golf pro lesson stop crashing" video as well as "golf pro lesson top view of swing" and "golf pro lesson coordinating arm motion with body turn"; Shawn

  • Shawn,

    I cannot keep my left arm straight because of past injuries of my left shoulder. What can I do?

  • @djames1967 Please see "golf pro lesson how to coordinate arm motion with body turn"; it has all the answers together with "golf pro lesson stop crashing" ; Shawn

  • Hey shawn,

    man am I glad I found your videos. I am getting your dvd's to take on the road with me. I am single digit am 55 yrs old and have a deteriorating left knee. It is playing havoc with my golf swing. It doesn't like to move in the way it is supposed to. Any suggestions on how to take some pressure off of it without destroying everything you have given me.

    I have taken lessons from many teachers and you are the ONLY one that makes perfect sense to me.

    thanks again,

    bob

  • Hey Bob;

    Sorry I missed this one; it is a bit tough to give you advice when I don't know what the extent of the damage is and on what side of that left knee; it is difficult as this is the leg that receives the most torque in the swing... I know that a full knee brace has helped many of my students though; what does your doctor say? Have you consulted an orthopedic surgeon yet?

    Shawn

  • Shawn,

    I apologize if i ask to many questions, but is ur left falling in place as if skully was standing to the right of you and you were going to punch him. or would it be as if skully was to the right of you but behind you...lets see as if he was sitting beside you in the movies or behind you.....i dunno tried a clement analogy there....again thanks for everything....

  • Hey Shawn, Would you describe the left arm motion in the swing as pronating (palm pointing down) in the backswing, and supinating in the downswing (palm up). Is this how the clubhead is square at contact? Thanks.

  • Hello Shawn,

    I would like to thank you for your awesome advice! Tried it out on the course, and my shots are getting consistently more solid. Your lesson is easy to understand and very effective! By the way, I'm just a high school golfer, so I'm still learning!

    Thanks,

    Adrienne
