This is a dual interview with Bobby Beck and Glen McIntosh at the 2008 San Diego Comiccon. They were both kind enough to answer a few questions as they wandered the exhibition floor.

Bobby 'Boom' Beck has worked as an animator in quite a few films, most recently for Pixar including Finding Nemo, the Incredibles, and Cars. He is one of the original founders of AnimationMentor.com the online animation school.

Glen McIntosh is a one of the lead character animators for ILM who's done work on such films as The Spiderwick Chronicles, Transformers, Jurassic Park, and Star Wars.

  • Two of my favourite people. Bobby was a big influence and very supportive when I was younger (and used ninja a lot back then!), and I had a great time working at ILM with Glen and having lunch with all the animators, almost every day. Great guys who were robbed of an Oscar on TF and Pirates 3.

  • You're so lucky to interview them (and get into the CON)! Isn't Bobby Beck so laid back? He reminds me of a kid... who overuses the words BOOM and ninja. xD
