1984 Toro mower four-stroke runs on two-stroke gas/oil mix. Stihl two-stroke oil 50:1 gas:oil ratio. Opti-4 in the crankcase. Thought it would smoke a lot but it doesn't at all. With 1600 hours on engine, this mower usually smokes a fair amount on straight gas.

  • Cool mower

  • Cool mower it's an 83 toro I have the same one my friend sold me for 20 bucks it currently does not run I need to clean the carb it sat in his garage since 96 and had not been ran so it's gummed up with old gas and oil

  • @1972FordF150

Yes the engine is a Tecumseh. I have a 1984 Toro with one. Also with BBC.

  • hahaha how often do you cut your yard?

  • even if its a 4stroke it should run just fine long as it has oil lol ur not gonna kil the engine >.<

  • What brand is that engine ? Tecumseh ?

  • from my experience, this model toro with this motor never dies!!!!! Only downside is the muffler is not in a good place... I lent it to a neighbor and the jackass ran over some good sized bricks. the df laughed, backed the mower up, and attempted to start it again. IT STARTED. another time, i accidentally ran some small bricks over. the mower chopped them up in little pieces and flung them across the driveway. the blade is still sharp w/o any nicks even after a few little accidents

  • @psychodelicrock12 i think that is the one i just got

  • I have a 1989 Toro lawn mower (like the one in this video) with a 2-cycle GTS engine (the only different between mine and this one), 3-speed self-propelled, and a rear grass catcher. I also bought a discharge chute that attaches to the back. This is the best lawm moever I have ever used and I plan to hold on to i as long as I can. Since it is a 2 cycle engine, I do not have to change the oil in it.
