Rowell has a really fine voice.
This song wasn't in the movie version with Shirley Jones. Willson wrote a song especially for Jones in the movie. It was called "Being In Love." The bridge was identical to this but the rest was done for Jones. Barbara Cook sang this song in the original Broadway production.
Again, Rowell is Broadway quality. I like this very much!

This was really good. This is such a hard song to do. It kicked my butt when I did it in high school. This was very good. I think maybe a bit too much vibrato on the last A flat but still very good.

@clemsonchick8907 Yeah, whatever. Still doesn't improve her voice.

@chgoboy69 maybe you should do your research before you post. her name is spelled Kristin Chenoweth. Not Kristen Chenowith.

She sounds beautiful!! I love it. I'm going to sing it next month in a production and my director keeps telling me to cut out the vibrato, and break up the phrases! He wants to kill it. I like this!

My school did this whne I was in the 12th grade I ended up playing a townsperson so that was kind of fun. I wish there was a way for me to put it up on here because I have a copy of it on DVD.

Isn't this a bit too high?
I don't remember Kristin Chenoweth singing it so high...

very good voice...but why stage it so that winthrop enters during her last thrilling note? very odd blocking

I love Kristen Chenoweth just because she's a great actress who can make a lot of hard things seem easy, but I'd agree that this lady did a better job with this particular song. :)
she's singing it in the normal key dumbasses. and just because the camera isn't zoomed in on enormous cleavage doesn't mean she's bad. very nice voice. i think i'm gonna record myself singing this song. she's really good though.
if you don't know shit about music, just don't bother posting, because you'll just get yelled at!

Also, for Chenowith, it was transposed down so she wouldn't have to push the high notes. This lady sings at the range it was written, which is tougher than Kristen's version.
