Bomberman Online - Panel Paint Bomber Rule Championship (vs Bomber Gunrock 4-4)

I've got to say... this was a fun battle.

Gunrock's Status is exactly the same, just 3 hearts. He certainly looks tough and is. You'd think that keeping tiles white would be easy but it's actually challenging.

Special abilities:

Multi-Settting
Something like a dis-jointed line bomb. Those little guys following Gunrock can set a bomb down in expansion to his own for up to 3 at a time. He must have extra bomb panels for this to happen.

Also, sometimes the little guys put down a bomb just by themselves and there is no sound when this happens.


Ground Quake
Bomber Gunrock will spin jump into the air to crash down with a huge impact. The initial quake sets off bombs automatically. Afterwards, rocks will come falling down on random tiles which can be cleared, but will contain no items.

The bad part about this move is that the falling rocks can land on your head. Even worse, if one of those rocks lands on a bomb, the impact will cause that bomb to explode. Round one, Gunrock gets victimized by having a rock fall on his head, then ANOTHER rock land on a bomb his subordinate placed right behind him.

Now this batle was full of surprises. I was going to loose the first match but I somehow forced a draw. Even though Gunrock's last bomb flipped panels, it was after time, thus a tie count.

I learned a new tick in which bombs do not set off immediately when set.

I can't believe a rock fell on his head, then another on his own bomb getting him hurt, that was hilarious!

I've gone back and tried this stage again. Sometimes it shows up around 1:00, sometimes after 10 seconds from starting... it must be bomb related.

That game looks like so much fun! I wish I had a Dreamcast to play it...

Who knows, maybe Hudson could re-release it?
