A demonstration of my interactive art installation "The subConch" (software prototype). Using an EEG-reading headset I control a sound through mental activities alone. Read more about the project on http://www.subconch.net.
wow! lol I want one! Is this your technology? I'd like to get software to record my dreams so I can examine them. This seems to be a step in that direction.
@stephenawolfe Glad you liked it! The core technology is developed by Emotiv Systems. I developed the software that makes sound and music of it all – not much to listen to in this video though...
@yobrepus Thanks for the reply. I've removed a response that was not related to this vid. I'm wondering if you have heard of sound waves that can influence human behavior? I can see great future uses for the software you've written. Does it need to profile your thoughts every time? Using a test group of several people, you could compare brain waves to identify more exactly what waves work for most people, right?
@stephenawolfe There is a machine learning algorithm in the Emotiv kit – basically it records how you think about something and then recognizes it again later. I think there has been loads of research on what you talk about, certain parts of the brain is involved in certain tasks and thoughts, but it is never completely universal I think.
