  • @portnoyfan521, yeah, when I got the mackie's, i only got them because the sales manager who is a friend said they were the ish. After having them for about 6 months, too many problems! He exchanged them no prob and I got the PRX 615 instead, which I'm a very happy camper. I've always been a JBL fan. I guess it was a curse that I tried to switch over to Mackie. Btw, Mackie's customer service was NOTthe best experience! PRX series is the way to go! The best part is they are really light!

  • it's been awhile since I posted this video. I do have some bad news to report. Since I got these, I've had it blow out on me TWICE! I have one in the shop right now and they are taking a mighty long time to fix! I wasn't even blasting them when it blew! Yes, they do sound great, but, blow out TWICE? Having second thoughts

  • @newhorizon2000 personally I prefer the JBL's or RCF to these, but thats just me. Ever since mackie started production in China, the quality went downhill. Amplifier wise, they are unreliable.

  • @makeuholr Have you had any problems with the JBL PRX615 overheating since you posted

  • @djteknovibe Yeah true with Behringer, they make cheaper stuff, but they sound good, and as son as they get good or better components, they will be very good. But people don'ty like the Behringer name for some reason, its like cars in America, people would take a Ford over a Kia, like Behringer and JBL. People will pay more because of experience with the product, and quality. I like Behringer, and JBL, and QSC and many more, and sometimes the cheaper stuff sounds better than the good cabinets.

  • @djteknovibe True, he used USA made components, which made the cost of the Cabinets go up, as soon as LOUD acquired the Mackie name they started using using cheap Chinese made components, so the cost went down for the sale price that all us Audio guys see. If you see the price go up in the new SRM450 V3 models, that means all the components and amps are usa made, hopefully by a third party company. I would love to see mackie speakers with EAW amp in them!

  • @djteknovibe the only way Mackie will get back into the game is if they start manufacturing to EAW standards, which means mostly passive speakers. Some people like that, some people don't. But remember people are not going to buy 3000 dollar cabinets. People want the most for little money, so I think Mackie will stop making speakers, or the HD series within the next 3 years, and then come out with some newer stuff. If it has EAW on it, instead of Mackie, I will be interseted, any other, no way.

  • @makeuholr I am glad you like the PRX 615! JBL took everything wrong, or that people complained about in the PRX 500 series and fixed it for this series. They are incredible speakers, and yeah they are SUPER LIGHT! Just everything about the cabinet is perfect in my opinion, plenty of power, and fantastic sound. And crown is much more reliable, and customer friendly then Mackie.

  • @mysticradio a little lower bottom, because of the 15 inch woofer, but same crisp clarity.

  • @makeuholr you guys should have waited for the JBLPRX 600 series! those blow these out of the water. I have seen and heard comparisons of both ( in person).

  • I bought 8 of these and use them with four double 18 subs in a outdoor event and i cranked up the volume and the sound was so clean and defined
