  • You know, I can't help thinking if we really grasped the whole thing we could do it a lot simpler with a ruler, a big wheel, and a couple of wooden spools. JK :)

  • One prob with your wind tunnel is that the air is being centrifugally accelerated radially outward. Creating a wind component that is 90 degrees to the the vehicles trajectory. Sailboats love this wind direction, as they achieve their fastest speeds with it. Given zero friction, end velocities are theoretically unlimited. It is this component the one that might be accelerating your vehicle faster than the rotating air flow circulating CC around the track. Verify with perpendicular flap.

  • Seriously, watching this, I keep waiting for it to disintegrate in to shrapnel and behead someone.  Only then would it be interesting (and make any sense).
