Appearing on stage for the first time since being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Wanda Jackson rips it up at Don Quixote's in Felton, CA on April 14, 2009. Backed by country western band Red Meat, Wanda performs "Riot in Cell Block #9," which she recorded in 1960.

For those that were eagerly awaiting her induction in the Hall of Fame, we felt this certification was long overdue, but better late than never!

Musicologists will note that this song was first recorded by The Robins in 1954, featuring anonymous guest singer Richard Berry on lead vocals, three years before he released "Louie Louie." I posted a clip of him performing the song at:
