A lot of people think that they have the necessary skills to survive a confrontation. Can you draw & shoot before an attacker cuts you from 5, 7, or 10 feet away? This video is simply a test to help you to realize where your skill level MAY BE. If you are up to it, then take "The Challenge".

  • This seems like a no win situation because if i draw on the guy before i see a weapon then I'm brandishing my weapon therefore am breaking the law Why do i have to wait until it's to late before i can legally pull my weapon i should be able to draw my gun

on the BG to defuse the situation and if he chooses to continue his assault, fire to stop said threat.

  • Until you can justify using lethal force, that is the way it is. Again, this is not a realistic situation here, but it could be similar to this regarding the fact that you won't always see the weapon until it is too late.

  • This video is only a drill to illustrate the fact that you won't always be able to respond to an attack. Much of the time you won't even see the weapon before it is in play and of course, it could be a bit late. Too many people THINK they can and will be able to get their guns out and use them. As you can see, it is a bit mroe difficult than what you might think. Also, the dancing around is to get you "jumpy" and make you shoot before you are legally justified.

  • The fundamental problem with this is that someone isn't actually shooting back at the attacker. That might change the attitude quick fast and in a hurry.

  • Sure, but, it is a good way to guage if you are even CLOSE to being able to respond without actually being in danger.

  • Ah, the number 1 rule of gun fighting, you always need a gun.

  • There are no gun fights in the civilian world. Only people with guns fighting each other. The other part of rule #1 is that you need to be able to get your gun out and use it which is not always possible whether or not a gun is present.
