This is probably the simplest recipe I have ever made! It is AMAZING, honestly they were awesome!
Bake @ 400 degrees. Forgot to say that in vid :)
1 cup flour (any flour, white, whole wheat, even corn meal...)
2 Tbs butter or margarine
1/2 tsp salt
4-8 Tbs water
Add anything you like to make them flavored crackers. I wouldnt add any cheese other than parm. But you can try :)
add dried herbs, etc. Again, I wouldnt add fresh herbs, they will just turn the cracker green, lol.

  • I am trying this recipie for the first time as we speak. I didn't have enough butter, so I used olive oil instead. I also put in a teaspoon of dry dill. I will let ya know how it turns out. Thanx! I used my pizza cutter too. It was a breeze.

  • @solitaryairborne Oh yes please! Let me know!

  • @solitaryairborne One of the things about the cracker is i could REALLY taste the butter, so if you are using olive oil i would be VERY interested to know how they turn out!

  • Try a pizza cutter, it may be more user friendly to cut those crackers.

  • @solitaryairborne LOL, as I was cutting them, i was thinking to myself a pizza cutter would be so much easier! But I didnt have one out, so I just stuck with it, lol. But you reminded me again, which is good, because I am making some today :) Thanx

  • Battery dead? That did make me laugh. Ideally you would make a new video with a fully charged battery. (just trying to add some constructive feedback). That being said, keep up the good work.

  • On a positive note! I can't wait to try this recipe!!! Constructive criticism : You knew you were making a video. Why not charge the batteries before hand? Why not charge the batteries and then finish the video? Why not run the camera from a wall power unit? Pretty frustrating to viewers who hear this all the time. "My battery is running low" anyway.... I will try this recipe this weekend Thanks for showing us what you could. Most important parts shown anyway, right? :-D Thanks again...

  • I made this recipe and added some spices to it, whipped up a dip and took it to a pot luck and it was a great hit! Thanks CP

  • @MsDKGirl So awesome! I know it is impossible to stop making them, lol! And like you I will NEVER buy a cracker again! Let me know what you come up with!

  • @CanadianPatriot1973 Ending up having them on Fri and they were WONDERFUL!! Made at least 3 more times on Sat!! The kids loved them!! I'm NOT ever buying crackers again. The possibilities are endless. Plan on experimenting for the next few weeks. THANK YOU so much for the recipe!!

  • @CanadianPatriot1973 I just saw a bread thing by you which was really helpful already. Ascorbic acid, wow! I'm gluten intolerant and the spouse is enamored of a local bakery, so I don't have to do bread at all, but it tastes so good homemade, it's so touchy-feely, and my kitchen is so drafty stuff rises badly there but I try. I'd be darned interested in breads from oatmeal. This is a channel which responds, yay! But I liked you way back already. I like seeing more of your chatty self.
